- Handle products according to preferred work methods and scan products as they are delivered into the store
- Pick up, load, and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and transport products back to the SYGMA warehouse
- Complete all paperwork according to established company and governmental guidelines, including DOT logs, inspections, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Ensure all invoices are accurate and submitted daily, and all damages and shortages are reported promptly
- Meet all food safety protocols according to established guidelines, including maintaining proper temperatures in the delivery vehicle and inspecting product for visible damages
- Ensure product is delivered and stored to prevent cross-contamination and maintain sanitary conditions in the tractor and trailer
- Follow preferred work methods at all times and immediately advise management team of any unsafe conditions
- Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including hand carts, pallets, load bars, SLS units, and personal protective equipment
- Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication
- Communicate with the management team regarding any deviations to the route, trailer or loading issues, and/or customer or product issues
- Safely transport product picked up via backhauls and line hauls and ensure picked-up product is correct and is delivered on a timely basis
