  • Unload products from the trailer using hand carts or by hand, including down ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions
  • Place products in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications and company standards
  • Handle products according to preferred work methods and scan products as they are delivered into the store
  • Pick up, load, and unload damaged goods and customer returns, and transport products back to the SYGMA warehouse
  • Complete all paperwork according to established company and governmental guidelines, including DOT logs, inspections, and vehicle maintenance reports
  • Ensure all invoices are accurate and submitted daily, and all damages and shortages are reported promptly
  • Meet all food safety protocols according to established guidelines, including maintaining proper temperatures in the delivery vehicle and inspecting product for visible damages
  • Ensure product is delivered and stored to prevent cross-contamination and maintain sanitary conditions in the tractor and trailer
  • Follow preferred work methods at all times and immediately advise management team of any unsafe conditions
  • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including hand carts, pallets, load bars, SLS units, and personal protective equipment
  • Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication
  • Communicate with the management team regarding any deviations to the route, trailer or loading issues, and/or customer or product issues
  • Safely transport product picked up via backhauls and line hauls and ensure picked-up product is correct and is delivered on a timely basis
  • Work assigned schedules and work outside of the usual work schedule as needed to meet customer needs
