In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring our delivery fleet and other equipment are properly maintained and ready for operation, contributing to the smooth and efficient delivery of food products to our customers.
As a Maintenance Utility Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting our fleet operations. Your primary responsibilities will include fueling vehicles, checking and maintaining fluid levels, assisting the fleet shop with repairs, washing trailers, and keeping the parking lot clean and organized. You'll work closely with both the fleet shop and night warehouse management to ensure equipment is in optimal condition for daily use. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Your day might start with a review of the equipment maintenance schedule and any specific requests from the fleet shop or warehouse management. You'll then begin fueling delivery vehicles and checking fluid levels, ensuring each vehicle is ready for its daily route. You'll assist the fleet shop with basic repairs, such as changing tires or replacing filters. Throughout the day, you'll wash trailers according to the FSQA schedule and keep the parking lot free of debris. You'll also support the night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard, ensuring efficient traffic flow and parking. At the end of the day, you'll document your activities and prepare for the next shift.
