As the Manager, Product and Supplier Data, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the team and supporting process improvements through automation and operational efficiencies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data acquisition, governance, and compliance across Item and Supplier Master Data Management attributes. This role requires a strong understanding of master data management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across various departments.
Imagine starting your day by reviewing the progress of data quality initiatives and identifying areas for improvement. You then collaborate with the Merchandising team to address supplier data compliance issues and ensure that all data meets the required standards. Next, you meet with the Sysco Technology team to discuss the implementation of new MDM functionality and provide feedback on testing results. Throughout the day, you prioritize and manage requests for content updates and enhancements, working closely with stakeholders to ensure that all needs are met. You also spend time mentoring team members, providing guidance and support to help them excel in their roles. Finally, you dedicate time to identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, proactively working towards solutions that will enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
