A Day in the Life of a Special Project Coordinator

As a Special Project Coordinator, your day-to-day tasks will involve:

  • Coordinating order processing through a dedicated e-mail box.
  • Validating and reconciling customer purchase orders with sales orders in SAP.
  • Resolving discrepancies and communicating required changes to customers.
  • Completing order entry, following up on purchase orders, and generating project status reports.
  • Communicating with customers regarding backorders or shortages.
  • Tracking and reporting the status of open purchase orders on a weekly basis.
  • Completing Customer Shipment Consolidation Reports and scheduling shipping tasks.
  • Processing non-sales order activities, including returns, miss-picks, damages, and shortages.
  • Proactively resolving billing-related issues.
  • Validating sales orders against purchase orders in the TMC portal.
  • Releasing orders to warehouses and updating shipments in TMC.
  • Communicating late or no pickups to TMC.
  • Submitting BOLs to appropriate warehouses.
  • Updating outbound pallet spreadsheets.
  • Keeping the manager informed of issues within your area of responsibility.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
