Key Responsibilities at Rivian

As a System Engineer, you'll drive the development of next-generation EV charging technology. Here's what you'll do daily:

• Own key electrical sub-systems and functionals within new DC high power charging products.
• Deliver electrical hardware and charging functions by coordinating cross-functional decision making between hardware and software teams.
• Lead requirements development and coordination of sign off across vehicle, cloud, and mobile teams.
• Contribute to architecture development and electrical system-level design for all charging products.
• Analyze design impacts from alternate designs, new components, and vendors.
• Collaborate with validation teams on system/sub-system plans, owning requirements from definition to verification.
• Partner with software teams to define interfaces, troubleshoot, and integrate charging hardware/software.
• Analyze test data for performance trends and optimization in electrical/power systems.
• Suggest modifications with design team to boost product performance, durability, and user satisfaction.

Expect to create technical documentation like schematics and test reports while solving complex tasks creatively.

Qualifications & Requirements

Salary & Benefits

Rivian offers a competitive salary range of $95,400 - $106,000 USD yearly for SoCal-based System Engineers, determined by experience and factors permitted by law.
