Role Overview

CrowdStrike is seeking a talented Systems Engineer II to join our Production Services team. In this hybrid role based in New York, New York, you'll engineer and maintain solutions for our production systems environments, handling large-scale distributed systems critical to our Falcon platform. Expect 2-3 days per week on-site, collaborating with teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment. This position offers a disclosed salary range of $100,000 - $145,000 USD, with competitive upside, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex technical systems architecture and recommend improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Engineer and administer Linux environments for thousands of bare metal servers and virtual machines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve server hardware issues in large-scale production deployments within internal data centers.
  • Develop and write moderate to complex scripts and programs for automation, tools, frameworks, dashboards, and alarms using languages like Python, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, or Go.
  • Participate in on-call rotation with team members to ensure 24/7 system uptime.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, coupled with hands-on expertise in infrastructure technologies such as Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes. Proficiency in configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible is essential, as is the ability to write technical documentation.

Preferable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of protocols including DNS, HTTP, SMTP, and SNMP.
  • Familiarity with the OSI model, bare metal provisioning (e.g., Canonical MaaS), and block storage solutions like TrueNAS.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix), and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
  • Bonus: Knowledge of threat intelligence and mobile technology.

You must demonstrate self-learning in a fast-paced environment, work effectively with cross-functional global teams, exhibit attention to detail, and possess excellent communication skills. This role requires periodic background and fingerprint checks.
