Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Research emerging technologies and write authoritative deep dives for Datadog's blog
• Create comprehensive monitoring guides and tutorials that help engineers implement observability best practices
• Announce and explain new Datadog features and integrations with technical precision
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, editors, and designers
• Develop innovative content formats for original research and technical tips
• Analyze reader engagement metrics using Datadog tools to optimize content performance
• Pitch story ideas that resonate with developers and ops professionals
• Continuously iterate content based on performance data and audience feedback
• Represent Datadog's thought leadership in cloud monitoring and DevOps

Qualifications & Requirements

We're looking for writers who live and breathe technology. Ideal candidates have:

• 2-4 years as a technology writer, or CS degree + relevant experience
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, Ruby, or similar general-purpose languages
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, CI/CD, distributed tracing
• Understanding of agentic AI, code profiling, and modern observability stacks
• Proven portfolio of technical writing for developer audiences
• Ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, engaging prose

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 USD base, plus competitive equity package including RSUs and employee stock purchase plan. Total compensation considers experience, skills, and location.
