A Snapshot of Your Day

In collaboration with the direct responsible you must assure the accurate tender and offer process of turn-key EPC contracts relating to FACTS Projects (STATCOM, FSC, Synchronous Condenser etc) to meet customer expectations in term of quality and reliability, in line with Siemens Energy profitability expectations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Review the Client’s Request for Quotation (RFQ)
Coordinate offer team resources for achieving goals.
Evaluation of tender documentation and requests of the Client
Lead techno commercial clarifications and suggestions to the Client for optimizing offer.
Coordinate cost analysis, prepare pricing, and establish payment milestones, ensuring alignment of sub-supplier payment terms. Perform a cash flow analysis. Technical evaluation of supplier’s offers in coordination with engineering. 
Identify cost- or time-saving opportunities within the proposal development process and implement process improvement initiatives. Complete the Risk and Opportunity Analysis process before issuing new equipment proposals, focusing on margin screens, currency risks, payment terms, cash flow, cancellation terms, and execution risks. Review pricing compliance with pre-established screens and price/scope agreements, and issue price recommendations for approval.
Internal and external tender coordination, with Siemens Energy competency hubs and factories in India and abroad
Works with multi-disciplinary team to deliver the offer / tender.
Handle the commercial and technical documentation of the project, coordinating with Commercial and Legal Colleagues
Escalate, if necessary to appropriate levels to solve critical aspects depending upon tender / customer requirements / concerns
Interface with all the businesses involved in the project.
Lead the Engineering team for internal support during Offer when requested.
Technical presentations to customers on FACTS Technologies & Pre Sales activities 

What About You
Degree / Postgraduate in electrical engineering or power system engineering
Proven experience of 10 - 15 years in STATCOM / SVC / FSC / HVDC technologies or AIS / GIS HV substation in tender preparation and proposal process or project engineering, commissioning, or project management. Exposure to FACTS technology will be preferred.
Hands on experience on tender preparation, costing, costing analysis and pricing
Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel & Power Points
Working knowledge of tools like MS Projects, Power BI etc added advantage.
Willing to travel for business trips National or International for short period of time.
Self-motivated, strong focus on achieving goals, initiative, autonomy, and willingness to work in team.
