As a Premier Support Engineer (PSE), you'll work directly with enterprise clients using Datadog's industry-leading cloud monitoring and security platform. This role combines hands-on technical support with customer success engineering, where you'll troubleshoot complex issues across 600+ integrations, deliver demos, and drive product improvements based on real customer feedback.

PSEs engage through multiple channels—phone, chat, tickets, cadence calls, and conferences—ensuring customers maximize Datadog's observability capabilities for cloud-native applications, infrastructure monitoring, and security. Key Responsibilities at Datadog

  • Provide elite multi-channel support (phone/chat/tickets) for Premier Customers while educating them on advanced Datadog features like APM, logs, and synthetics.
  • Build strategic relationships with enterprise customers, gaining deep knowledge of their unique cloud environments and monitoring needs.
  • Reproduce and resolve complex technical issues spanning Datadog's 600+ integrations with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and more.
  • Author comprehensive documentation and knowledge base articles covering infrastructure monitoring, observability best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Drive product roadmap conversations by identifying customer pain points and feature requests during support interactions.
  • Lead routine health check meetings to optimize customer Datadog deployments and ensure maximum platform value.
  • Deliver technical demos, presentations at conferences, and participate in side projects that showcase Datadog's cloud observability power.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.
  • Maintain availability for rotating schedules including weekends to support global Premier Customers.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as a Technical Support Engineer 2, Premier at Datadog, you'll need:

  • 2+ years multi-channel technical support experience at a SaaS company, preferably in Premium/Enterprise roles.
  • Technical tinkering skills with programming experience (Python, Bash preferred) and solid Linux fundamentals.
