Key Responsibilities

As a Technician 1 (PVD), you'll support lean manufacturing through hands-on technical work:

• Set-up, program, start up, and shut down PVD machines and related equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on chambers.
• Diagnose and fix issues in pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, electronic, and vacuum systems.
• Conduct mechanical and vacuum pump repairs.
• Select recipes based on finish requirements and stage appropriate racks.
• Load/unload parts, rack/unrack carefully, and perform quality inspections to DS-500 specs.
• Detect/report defective materials or equipment issues and make accept/reject decisions.
• Work in confined spaces, at elevations, and climb stairs; practice ERGO stretches.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping and visual workplace standards.
• Report technical information and complete hazard observations using Delta procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

To succeed, candidates need:

• Required: Prior experience as PVD Chamber Operator.
• HS degree or equivalency recommended.
• Color Acuity score of 40 or better.
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, math skills (add/subtract/multiply/divide with decimals).
• Ability to read safety rules, work instructions, MOS, SFM, QMS, ERP systems.
• Work independently with limited supervision; adjust hours for production needs.
• Certified or willing to certify in confined spaces, fall protection, safety training.
• Physical demands: Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling (HPE may be required).
• Acceptable attendance (under 6 points) and disciplinary record (no recent warnings).
