Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you'll ensure seamless production and unwavering product quality. Primary accountabilities include:

• Operating and monitoring production lines to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Removing or shifting materials and finished products to maintain proper flow on the line.
• Performing tests with specialized equipment to verify package integrity, product quality, fill levels, labeling, and freshness.
• Operating all manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, including blending, filling, and sanitation systems.
• Cleaning equipment and production areas during and after shifts, adhering to strict housekeeping practices.
• Following standard operating procedures (SOPs), expediting quality concerns to management, and collaborating with production and maintenance teams.
• Maintaining accurate daily records of tests performed and results, communicating any needed process adjustments.

Periodic deep cleaning and sanitization of blending and filling lines are also key, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
• Ability to lift/carry 20-45 pounds repeatedly over 10-12 hour shifts and stand/walk continuously.

Helpful Experience

• Audit compliance, including monitoring, documentation, and variance analysis.
• Product changeovers like CIP, flavor changes, sanitizing, and formula settings.
• Operating testing instruments such as Carbo QC, HPLC, densitometers, and water testing equipment.
• Calibrating instruments for precise measurements.
• Microbiology knowledge, especially for Category 3 and 4 products.
• Reverse osmosis/water treatment and cooling/ammonia systems troubleshooting.
• Mechanical systems maintenance, cleaning, and reassembly.
• Sensory testing for taste, odor, and appearance.
• Basic chemistry skills using titrators, pH meters, and graduated cylinders.
• Food safety expertise, including AIB certification and prerequisite programs.
