Role Overview

As a Technician - Quality Control at PepsiCo in Lima, Ohio, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our beverage production process. This full-time night shift position (6 pm – 6:30 am) follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, offering a balanced work-life rhythm with two days on, two off, then three on, and two off. Starting at $27.50 per hour, you'll operate equipment to blend raw materials to exact specifications, perform routine tests, and ensure products meet stringent quality standards. This hands-on role involves lifting 20-45 pound cases repeatedly over 10-12 hour shifts, standing, walking, and handling samples.   • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address quality concerns swiftly.
  • Maintain impeccable housekeeping and follow all safety protocols.

Expect to use advanced tools like Carbo QC, HPLC, densitometers, and sensory testing kits to ensure every batch excels in taste, consistency, and safety.

  • Audit compliance, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Product changeovers, CIP, flavor changes, and formula settings.

  • Microbiology, basic chemistry, sensory evaluation, and food safety (e.g., AIB, prerequisite programs).
  • Reverse osmosis/water treatment, cooling/ammonia systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
