Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician at Sonoco's Querétaro RPC Plant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment. This full-time, mid-level position involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work to minimize downtime and support seamless manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, implementing effective solutions swiftly.
• Conduct repairs and replace faulty components, minimizing production downtime.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory usage for compliance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production teams and departments to support uninterrupted operations.
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a secure work environment.
• Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and schedules.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and willingness to work flexible hours.
