📋 Job Overview
Tencent is seeking a Cloud Database Kernel R&D Engineer to design and develop core database modules for cloud-native environments. The role involves optimizing performance, throughput, and latency in primary-backup and distributed architectures, as well as contributing to HTAP-oriented SQL engine and high-availability systems. Responsibilities also include diagnosing and fixing issues in live database instances.

2.持续优化云原生、主备、分布式架构下的性能、吞吐和时延；
3.参与面向HTAP的SQL引擎开发，包括不限于查询优化器、并行执行、向量引擎的设计与优化；
4.参与共享存储架构、高可用架构、日志系统的开发，包括不限于物理复制、WAL、备份恢复的设计与优化；
5.负责线上数据库实例内核相关根因诊断和问题修复。
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the architecture design and feature development of database kernel modules.
- Continuously optimize performance, throughput, and latency under cloud-native, primary-backup, and distributed architectures.
- Participate in HTAP-oriented SQL engine development, including but not limited to query optimizer, parallel execution, and vector engine design and optimization.
- Participate in shared storage architecture, high-availability architecture, and log system development, including but not limited to physical replication, WAL, and backup recovery design and optimization.
- Responsible for root cause diagnosis and problem fixing related to database instance kernels in production.

Salary
300,000 - 800,000 CNY / yearly
