About the Hiring Team
The Global Public Affairs team is committed to identifying and implementing proactive public policy positions to support the business and provide thought leadership across a number of issues, including technology, entertainment, and international trade and investment.

What the Role Entails
We are seeking a talented Trust & Safety, Public Affairs & Global Policy Intern to be part of our Global Public Affairs (GPA) team. You will be responsible for supporting the Trust & Safety team as they work on formulating, organizing, executing and communicating Trust & Safety policy programs, initiatives and positions to support the business, as well as provide thought leadership across a range of issues, including sustainability, technology, entertainment (video games), and communication.
The Trust & Safety team works closely with the Communications Team, Public Affairs Team and with Tencent’s Global Research Institute. You will work in a fast paced, global business environment. Having a collaborative and inquisitive attitude is key, along with a passion for technology and its impact on users and society. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills are crucial for supporting Trust & Safety and other direct colleagues, and therefore success in this role.
The internship will be for a period of six (6) months starting June 2025, but is negotiable. We provide interns with a competitive monthly remuneration.
This role is based in our Singapore HQ in Singapore.● Policy Research & Analysis
Monitor global Trust & Safety policy developments (e.g., online safety bills, AI regulation, platform transparency rules) and distill implications for Tencent’s products and GPA strategy.
Conduct comparative policy benchmarking against peer companies and industry standards; prepare succinct briefs and slide decks.
● Program Support & Coordination
Help design and track project plans for Trust & Safety initiatives.
● Stakeholder Engagement Preparation
Compile Q&A libraries and scenario-based briefs to equip stakeholders for engagements.
● Data Gathering & Reporting
Assist in post-mortem and after-action reviews, synthesizing lessons learned into best-practice toolkits.
● Issue Monitoring
Track emerging risks on platforms (misinformation spikes, extremist content) and conduct concise risk assessments.
● Cross-Functional Liaison
Support the coordination internal workshops and brainstorming sessions to foster a “safety-by-design” culture.
● Administrative & Operational Support
Manage document repositories, meeting minutes, and version control for policy assets.
