As a Territory Manager - Large Format based in Chatswood, New South Wales, you will play a pivotal role in driving category growth for PepsiCo’s trusted brands across key customers including Woolworths, Coles, Independents, and managed accounts. This full-time position offers the chance to work with a global FMCG powerhouse, delivering flawless execution of customer plans, securing ranging, displays, and promotional support. Sell with insights to influence share of shelf, front-of-store positioning, and profitability through optimal product mixes. Manage a defined territory of large format customers to achieve mutual growth. Execute all customer plans with precision, ensuring compliance to journey plans and driving sales through impeccable in-store standards.
Leverage strong relationships with store managers and grocery managers to influence inventory levels, minimum product quantities, allocations, and display compliance. Use insights to secure incremental displays and promote PepsiCo brands effectively.
Inform customers of new product developments (NPD), promotional planning, and ensure adherence to planograms. Staff training on products is key. Deliver the full commercial calendar, sales strategy, and channel blueprint while meeting short- and long-term objectives tracked via Newspage.
Utilize store scan data and business reviews to identify sales opportunities, commercialize objectives, and analyze activity effectiveness. Report results to stakeholders using data-backed analysis.
Maintain tools of trade including vehicle, phone, iPad, and POS materials. Build ties with Schweppes territory contacts, customer area contacts, and third-party brokers. Excel in Power of One opportunities across multiple sites.
To succeed as PepsiCo’s Territory Manager, you need a deep understanding of customer supply chains to optimize on-shelf availability. Identify in-store sales growth opportunities aligned with blueprint objectives and develop execution plans. Interpret category facts for all customer interactions and engage in natural selling conversations that prompt action. Anticipate objections, resolve them with negotiation techniques, and apply retail maths in sales discussions. Prior experience in grocery retail, FMCG sales, or territory management with major chains like Woolworths or Coles is highly desirable.
