Job Description
This role is to assist in identifying and unlocking savings, along with participating on cross functional projects related to Cost Analysis. Closely supported in Cost Modeling Development, to provide transparency & generate insight
- Understands business needs and in depth understanding of Tesco processes
- Builds on Tesco processes and knowledge by applying CI tools and techniques.
- Responsible for completing tasks and transactions within agreed KPI's
- Solves problems by analyzing solution alternatives
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
- Understands business needs and in depth understanding of Tesco processes
- Builds on Tesco processes and knowledge by applying CI tools and techniques.
- Responsible for completing tasks and transactions within agreed KPI's
- Solves problems by analyzing solution alternatives
-Data Management – data gathering, validation and integration
-Cost analytics and modelling to inform best commercial practices
-Engaging with internal buying teams across Divisions
-Reporting preparation on project status and progress for your manager
-Participating in cross-functional projects to drive efficiency across the business
-Supporting your manager in presenting insights and opportunities to Senior Stakeholders
-Ad hoc admin and business critical tasks
-Adhering to all Tesco policies, storage and handover protocols and successfully completing all my training so that I h
-Understanding commodity market and identifying opportunities for cost price efficiency
-Supporting buyers/category with cost price ananlysis to enable effective cost negotiation
- Graduate of a Finance/Accounting (or related) Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in accounting, finance, accounts payable, buying, or audit a plus
- Ability to work well in an individual and team environment
- SQL, VBA, Tableau & R preferable
- Numerical ability
- Experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- ability to present competently to internal and external stakeholders
- A passion for fast-moving retail or Experience of working in an FMCG organisation
- Attention to detail
