The Workplace Health Specialist serves as a key liaison between employees, supervisors, healthcare providers, and workers’ compensation representatives to promote a healthy and safe workplace.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Health Administration, or Risk Management, or equivalent experience (experience)
- Able to enter, organize, track, and export data within online health information systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data management and analysis (experience)
- Able to influence and communicate effectively with supervisors and associates (experience)
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines (experience)
- Well organized with meticulous attention to detail (experience)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (experience)
- Comfortable in an environment where demands and priorities change rapidly and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high growth environment (experience)
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor cases involving employee work-related injuries and illnesses from initial report through closure
- Maintain correspondence with injured employees including answering questions and explaining the workers’ compensation process and facilitate communication between stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records in accordance with OSHA, HIPAA, and company standards
- Complete and maintain OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs; ensure accurate determination of recordable cases
- Diffuse challenging situations involving individuals with questions and concerns related to workplace injuries, and escalating when appropriate
- Facilitate timely return-to-work and coordinate transitional modified duty positions
- Participate in incident investigations by gathering employee/witness statements, collecting information, and tracking data from various stakeholders
