Required Qualifications
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude. Ability to take things apart and get them back together without instructions (experience)
- Detail oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills including Microsoft office and computer software literacy (experience)
- Metal working and other general fabrication skills including knowledge of hand and power tools, pneumatic equipment (experience)
- Machine Shop Experience: Proficient with basic shop tools and machines (manual mill, engine lathe, drill press, bandsaw, belt sanders, hand tools etc.) (experience)
- Equivalent trade school or college courses pertaining to CNC and milling operations (experience)
- Knowledge of electrical hazards. Including precautionary measures around High Voltage equipment and spinning machinery (experience)
- Ability to use basic electrical tools: Digital Multi-meter, Meg-Ohm tester Thermal couple Meters (experience)
- Basic wiring knowledge, ability to connect sensors, power supplies, and Data Acquisition to test platforms (experience)
- An interest in electric motors and gear train (experience)
Responsibilities
- Assemble and debug prototype drive unit assemblies
- Make and modify parts as necessary to support test rigs and prototypes
- Test prototypes
- Assess and document test results
