Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated engineering technician for Optimus Distribution Team. The team is primarily focused on prototyping, troubleshooting and debugging harnesses, connectors and electronics assemblies. Your responsibilities will include building prototype harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies, debugging and troubleshooting failed harnesses and reporting those failure modes and recommendations to design team as well as overseeing techs both internal and external in larger scale harness builds.

Required Qualifications
- Hands on experience with harness building (experience)
- Tool proficiency: Crimpers, strippers, multi-meters, soldering irons, hand tools and power tools (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jira, 3D printing, Oscilloscopes are highly preferred (experience)
- IPC-7711/7721 and IPC-A-620 highly preferred (experience)
Responsibilities
- Build prototype harnesses for multiple platforms including bot, charger, demo systems and bucks to drawings
- Generate simple harness drawings for debug and testing harnesses with the assistance of design team
- Troubleshoot, debug, repair prototype harnesses
- Document failure modes and communicate them to design team with recommendations
- Train other technician groups to build harnesses at scale
