- Comprehensive knowledge in OSHA, IFC, IBC, and NFPA standards and codes to ensure fire alarm, special hazards and water-based systems and life safety systems are code compliant (experience)
- Proficiency in programming and integration of Fire Alarm and Life Safety systems (experience)
- Honeywell Certified preferred (certification)
- Texas State FAL fire alarm license, FEL (extinguisher license), and/or RME sprinkler license preferred (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- Fire Sprinkler Technician certification preferred (certification)

- Texas State FAL fire alarm license, FEL (extinguisher license), and/or RME sprinkler license preferred (experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform Semi-Annual inspections on special hazard systems NOVEC, CO2 performing full system functionality testing per NFPA2001, NFPA12, NFPA72, and NFPA11
- Troubleshoot fire alarm/special hazard circuits, wiring and devices with hand tools and voltmeter to address trouble/faults on fire alarm and life safety systems when necessary and repair faults
- Perform annual fire alarm inspections with full function testing of all initial devices detectors, pull stations, relays, modules and audiovisuals per NFPA72
- Perform routine maintenance and quarterly/annual inspections on wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action and deluge systems per NFPA25
