Required Qualifications

• Hands-on proficiency with machine shop and laboratory tools (angle grinder, bandsaw, grinder & polisher, water mill, optical microscope, etc.) (experience)
• Ability to quickly learn proprietary testing methods and operate specialized equipment (experience)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills (experience)
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment (experience)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with LIMS or other internal quality systems a plus (experience)
• Fluency in English for documentation and communication (experience)
• Ability to wear PPE, including powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR) (experience)

Responsibilities

• Perform weld analysis and prepare metallographic samples for microscopy using machine shop tools and etchant chemicals
• Conduct charged cell teardowns while wearing PPE, including powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR)
• Interpret complex test data, create detailed reports, and provide clear conclusions to guide the Quality Operations team
• Maintain consumable inventory and enforce 5S practices to ensure laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety
• Refine testing procedures, draft and update SOPs, and ensure laboratory readiness to support operational needs
• Operate machine shop and laboratory tools, including angle grinders, bandsaws, grinders & polishers, optical microscopes, and water mills
