Job Description
The Low Voltage Hardware Validation Test team is looking to bring on a Body Controllers Engineering Technician to support Semi test development, execution, documentation, and root cause analysis. A Body Controller Engineering Technician will support all aspects of testing from electrical debugging, mechanical fixture design/building, software validation/script modification.

- Modify and debug Software scriptsintermediate

Required Qualifications
- Soldering experience related to reworking PCBA board (experience)
- Custom harness building experience related to building signal and power cables sizes from 22 gauge to 0 gauge (experience)
- Ability to manage multiple test priorities and communicate proactively (experience)
- Performing environmental stress screening (ESS) to identify potential failure modes (experience)
- Conducting highly accelerated life testing (HALT) and highly accelerated stress screening (HASS) to determine product robustness (experience)
- Operating and maintaining environmental chambers for thermal, humidity, and vibration testing (experience)
- Analyzing test data and identifying trends to predict potential failures (experience)
- Collaborating with engineers to implement design improvements based on reliability test results (experience)
Preferred Qualifications
- (Preferred, not required) Experience building things using SolidWorks, Catia, Altium, Autodesk Inventor. (experience)
- Experience programming in/on/with Linux, PyCharm, Command line, Arduino, DAQs, and power supplies. (experience)
- Experience fabricating things with CNC mills/Lathes, 3D printers, Laser cutter, chop saws, drill presses, electronic/mechanical crimpers. (experience)
- Experience gathering electrical, mechanical, temperature, data with strain gauges, TC, DAQs, DMM, oscilloscope, torque wrench, Micro ohm meter, HI pot, and Pressure Decay leak tester. (experience)
- Has experience running reliability and validation testing with environmental chambers for PCBAs (experience)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineers to validate body controllers for the Semi program through mechanical, electrical, and software/firmware testing
- Design, build, and dismantle static fixtures made of T-Slotted aluminum and sometime solid Aluminum or magnesium
- Modify and debug Software scripts for controller validation
- Design, build, debug, rework, and dismantle complex electrical sever rack testers
