Job Description

The Staff Operations Program Specialist will oversee janitorial and culinary operations at the Gigafactory Nevada campus, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and team excellence. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on management to create and maintain a world-class workplace environment. This role is cross-functional - you will work closely with site managers, procurement, manufacturing, R&D, operations, and executive teams. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, with a focus on driving measurable improvement across culinary and janitorial scopes. This role will help define the future of customer-facing services at the Gigafactory Nevada campus.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or Evidence of exceptional ability (degree in evidence of exceptional ability)
  • 5+ years of experience managing operations in facilities management, food service, or related areas (experience, 5 years)
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) (experience)
  • Experience with contract negotiation and management (experience)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities and demands (experience)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Define creative and effective janitorial and culinary processes based on team strategy, vision, and ethos, while directing and optimizing daily operations across the Gigafactory Nevada campus
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
  • Define requirements and develop comprehensive RFPs for janitorial and culinary services, while managing the RFP process including vendor selection, proposal evaluation, and contract negotiation
  • Establish performance metrics and SLAs for contracted services
  • Recommend and implement innovative solutions to enhance service quality and efficiency for culinary and janitorial programs, while developing long-term strategies for scaling operations as campus needs evolve
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning to meet campus needs, while defining hospitality strategy across culinary and janitorial teams, focused on service level improvements, contract management, procurement, and service expansion
  • Guide, develop, and grow the janitorial and culinary teams, providing direction to team leaders and cultivating a culture of hospitality and customer service, while proactively identifying and resolving strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet technical, financial, and planned goals
