2026 Digital Manufacturing Engineer Apprentice - Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician

Start Date: 07 September 2026

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Working Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 37 hours a week (9.25 hours Monday – Thursday)

Our Level 4 Digital Manufacturing Engineer apprenticeship in Templecombe is a fantastic opportunity to understand the complexities and challenges involved in the manufacture of low volume, high-tech products. Through a series of different placements, you will understand the challenges from different prospectives and the role that digital solutions can play in improving inefficiencies and problem solving.

Apprentice Programme:

As a Digital Manufacturing Engineer, you will enrol onto a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship at Yeovil College over a 3.5-year duration. The programme will be delivered via a day release model, whereby you attend college for your academic learning and then apply this back in the workplace against real-life projects. At the end of the programme, you will have achieved a Higher National Certificate in Engineering or Manufacturing Operations, plus a Level 4 apprenticeship qualification.

Requirements:

  • A Level in a STEM subject at grade C or above, or a relevant T Level at Merit or above, or a BTEC (90 credit) Diploma in an Engineering discipline at Merit or above
  • 5 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A-C) including English, Maths and a Science subject
