The Role:  Business Systems Officer

Join a high-impact team driving smarter processes, better systems, and continuous improvement across the Above Water Systems business. In this role, you’ll uncover business needs, shape system solutions, and ensure IT and improvement initiatives deliver real, measurable outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead workshops with stakeholders to capture, analyse and refine business requirements
  • Support the AWS Improvement Manager across schedules, budgets, risks and improvement activities
  • Benchmark across Maritime and broader Thales functions to identify and convert performance opportunities
  • Act as SME for key system enhancements, advising on impacts and implementation
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and clear communication across internal and external partners
  • Enhance customer experience by ensuring solutions exceed expectations and deliver value

Your Skills:

  • Degree in business, engineering, project management (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong ability to engage, influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Proven capability in delivering effective business improvement solutions
  • Demonstrated contribution to high-performing and constructive team cultures
  • Strong internal stakeholder management within a matrix organisation
  • Ability to analyse processes and translate needs into practical system outcomes

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience leading IT deliverables
  • SharePoint or similar collaboration tools
  • ERP and financial management system understanding
  • Process mapping and analysis capability
