About Thales

In the Netherlands, where more than 2500 employees are based, we are located in four cities: Huizen, Delft, Eindhoven and Hengelo (HQ). Together with an extensive ecosystem of knowledge partners, customers and suppliers, we work on radars for naval vessels, cyber security solutions, communication equipment for land forces, cryogenic cooling solutions and research & development for radar tech (in collaboration with TU Delft). 

A wide range of business is operated from the location of Thales Huizen. Most activities fall under the Global Business Unit Secure Communication and Information Systems (SIX) in two different business lines: Radio Communication Products (RCP) and Protection Systems (PRS). Next to this we also report on the business line Cyber Defense Solutions (CDS) as part of the Global Business Unit Digital Identity & Security (DIS).

Thales Huizen develops and produces its own product called SOTAS. SOTAS is a tactical radio and communication solution for military vehicles, which is sold worldwide through other directly to the customers or through other Thales entities. Furthermore, Thales Huizen offers cyber- and site security for different customers and maintains some trainers and simulators for the Dutch army.

About the team

The finance department of Thales Nederland consists of ~50 team members organized in 2 different competence centers (clusters):

• Shared Services Accounting, Reporting & Controlling;
• Bid & Project, Industrial and Procurement Control (Business Control)

You are part of the Finance & Control team that is located in Huizen that consist of seven people.

About the assignment

Finance & Control in Huizen has several improvement trajectories it would like to focus on for the next year(s):

• Improve steering information by improving data quality, for example by use of Business Intelligence tools, on all (financial or operational) data;
• Improve steering information on product line research and development programs in order to improve the predictability of the results of the organization;
• Improve and simplify cost estimation processes for projects in order to create efficiency and improve the predictability of the results of the organization;
• Improve steering information for the Cyber business unit in order to support the operational departments and facilitate effective decision making.

Based on the above potential assignments we can discuss the exact assignment with you to match the specific assignment with your interests.

Affinity and/or experience with
