Join our R&D Issuance team as a part-time Java Developer and contribute to cutting-edge projects focused on secure electronic identity and document issuance. This is an excellent opportunity for a student passionate about software development, cybersecurity, and digital identity to gain hands-on experience working with real-world technologies such as biometric devices, cryptography, and secure document processing.

You will collaborate in an agile, fast-paced environment, contributing to the development of software components supporting the issuance of passports, ID cards, and digital identity services used globally. This position offers flexible hours to accommodate your studies while building valuable competencies for your future career.

Key Responsibilities & Learning Objectives:

  • Software Development & Coding Fundamentals:
    Assist in designing, developing, and testing software components using modern frameworks. Focus on writing clean, modular code under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Hands-On Exposure to Emerging Technologies:
    Explore biometric data processing, cryptography, document personalization, and identity management through practical tasks and prototyping activities.
  • Collaboration & Agile Practices:
    Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews. Learn how agile methodologies drive product development and improve team productivity.
  • Problem Solving & Analytical Skills:
    Contribute to analyzing software challenges and testing solutions that ensure security, performance, and reliability of electronic document issuance.
  • Quality Assurance & Security Awareness:
    Support quality assurance activities by writing and executing test cases, and gain awareness of security best practices and compliance related to identity technologies.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Professional Growth:
    Engage actively in knowledge exchange sessions and receive mentoring to build your technical and soft skills in a professional environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Basic to intermediate experience with programming; familiarity with frameworks such as Spring, Qurakus or Angular is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies including cryptography, biometrics, and secure systems.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a collaborative, international team.
  • Strong communication skills and eagerness to receive and apply constructive feedback.
  • Ability to commit to part-time hours that fit around your academic schedule, typically 20 hours per week.
