In Kiel and Wilhelmshaven you will encounter modern and tailored navy systems for ships and submarines - from communication and navigation to reconnaissance and guidance and action. Your mission

  • Define and lead the implementation of the Product Line strategy, including value proposition, pricing, business models (incl. digital), and marketing/sales planning for our products in the Thales business line AWS (Above Water Systems)

  • Analyze global market trends, customer needs, and competition to drive product competitiveness and positioning in collaboration with Marketing & Business Intelligence

  • Develop and present comprehensive Product Plans, including roadmaps, business plans, and market requirements, for lifecycle decision-making

  • Lead cross-functional teams (Core Team, Change Control Board) and coordinate product development with Program Management and Product Line Authorities

  • Support pre-sales and bid activities, ensuring alignment with product policies, customer expectations, and brand strategy

We are looking forward to

  • Strong expertise in above-water naval vessels and related service business, combined with a solid technical background (f.e. related to systems engineering activities)

  • Proven experience in product line management with a strategic mindset and deep understanding of sales, marketing, and financial interdependencies

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with a customer-focused and performance-driven approach to KPIs (e.g. order intake, margin, win rate)

  • High willingness to travel frequently across Germany, to Hengelo (Netherlands), and to international AWS business line locations

  • Culturally adept and experienced in operating effectively in a global business environment

  • High level of communication skills in English language, German is a plus
