We are looking for a Senior Real-Time Developer who will take a critical role in strengthening and evolving our DDoS (Layer 2/3) protection product. 
This role is highly impactful - we need someone we can rely on to innovate, challenge our architecture, mentor juniors, and drive product excellence in the face of new technologies and attack vectors.

 Key Responsibilities:

• You will directly influence the resilience and innovation of Imperva’s DDoS protection.

• Your work will ensure our solution is prepared for new technologies, new attack vectors, and the ever-changing landscape of cyber threats.

• Own and enhance real-time, mission-critical components in a distributed system.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers in Israel and India.  

• Contribute to product strategy by challenging designs, proposing innovations, and influencing architecture.

• Mentor and coach junior developers, raising the team’s technical bar.

• Represent the product in cross-team discussions and external forums when needed.

• Ensure robust, scalable, and efficient implementations for evolving DDoS attack vectors.

Requirements:

• Strong background in C/C++ real-time development (senior level).

• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, protocols, routing).

• Experience with DDoS mitigation, cyber security, or high-scale systems – advantage.

• Experience with SAAS products- advantage.

• Hands-on experience with Python, familiarity with LLMs/AI – advantage.

• Ability to design and work with complex, end-to-end distributed systems.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and geographies.

• Proven ability to mentor junior developers and foster technical growth.

• Innovative mindset and passion for driving product improvements.
