OUR TEAM

Our Underwater Systems team are proud to support the Royal Australian Navy, providing integrated mission-critical solutions to below-surface platforms. With access to some of the world’s most advanced technologies, our people enable naval forces around the world with our state-of-the-art Sonar and undersea combat systems.

Located in North Sydney's Rydalmere, on Darug land, your role purpose will be:

  • Maintain technical knowledge across all the subsystems of the Scylla Sonar
  • Need to be able to travel interstate at short notice
  • Carry out all technical support tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Conduct all test procedures applicable to the equipment and assist with analysis of results
  • Perform modifications and upgrades to electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies
  • Lead and perform off site work as required in support of Submarine Full Cycle Docking tasks
  • Provide professional advice for the continuous improvement repair systems, processes and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining the secure network configuration and performing maintenance of the secure labs

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Cert III in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of analogue/digital and microprocessor based electronic systems
  • Previous experience in a Defence Industry environment
  • Experienced in hardware fault finding
  • Proficient in MS Suite
  • Exceptional written and oral communication
  • Working knowledge of SCYLLA Sonar is desirable

A Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
