Role & Responsibilities:

Join our Single Use Division as a Field Application Scientist to integrate brand new technology into field operations, providing top-tier technical support and excellent customer service to help clients reach their goals by optimizing Single-Use Systems technologies.

• Acting as primary field technical interface between the Commercial Sales team and clients, with a specific emphasis on Single-Use products such as BioProcess Containers (BPCs), Single-Use Bioreactors, Fermenters, and Mixing systems.

• Provide effective solutions in design, development, optimization, consultation, technical support, and troubleshooting of Single-Use systems.

• Present top-quality technical demonstrations to enhance Commercial Sales initiatives.

• Lead discussions on technical product specifications and applications with clients and prospects.

• Support with customer surveys, inquiries, User Requirements Specifications (URS), and product briefs.

• Conduct process mapping activities and recommend process improvements using Thermo Fisher Scientific's technologies.

• Apply inter-company experts and resources to suggest technical applications and process development studies.

• Inform Marketing and Product Management of new technologies that could boost our existing range.

• Provide the necessary voice of the customer (VOC) to Product Management for all products and services.

• Keep abreast of market trends, competitors, and innovations, ensuring relevant information is shared within the organization.

• Lead engaging training sessions and workshops focusing on the applications and capabilities of Single-Use products and systems.

• Assist in Commercial Sales operations through offering technical assistance to customers and troubleshooting products.

• Support in addressing customer concerns and inquiries by furnishing essential technical information and feedback to pertinent departments.

• Aim to surpass performance goals related to Knowledge Culture Seminars, GEMBA Walks, Demos/Evaluations, New Product Introductions (NPI), and Trainings.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Biosciences with 6-12 years of relevant experience in the Bioprocess Industry.

• Detailed working knowledge of Single Use Systems and technologies.

• Good understanding of processes and applications used within the Bio-pharmaceutical, Biotech, and vaccine industries.

• Proven operational hands-on and technical experience with Single Use technologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP and other regulatory guidelines.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability and willingness to work across professional and cross-functional teams.

• Preferred project management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.

• Highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of working on multiple projects with minimal supervision.

• Excellent team-working skills.

• Above-average computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).

• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time and operate from a remote home-base location.
