Job Description

Seeking an ambitious professional with strong program management experience for Head of Program Management role at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Groningen, The Netherlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Programs: Manage all stages of biologics programs, from process development to GMP production.
• Develop People: Coach, mentor, and empower team members to achieve their goals and improve program performance.
• Deliver Excellence: Anticipate challenges, align priorities, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
• Partner with Clients: Build trust through open communication, proactive planning, and effective issue resolution.
• Manage Financials: Track budgets, achievement payments, and change orders. Monitor program profitability and ensure business alignment.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Technical, Quality, and Operations leaders to align priorities and share insights.
• Improve Systems: Build and implement outstanding tools and processes that promote consistency and scalability.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field or equivalent experience required.
• MSc. or PhD or equivalent experience preferred.
• PMP or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Strong foundation in GMP operations and biologics manufacturing.
• Skilled in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Experience:

• 8+ years in the biopharmaceutical industry, including 5+ years in program or technical leadership.
• Experience in a Contract Manufacturing or Contract Development Organization preferred.
• Understanding of biopharmaceutical product lifecycles and clinical development.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage client-interfacing projects within a matrix structure.
• Demonstrated strong business insight in managing budgets and forecasting.
