Job Description

The IT Systems Administrator role supports our Tokyo Shinkiba and Heiwajima sites. The focus is on keeping IT operations running smoothly, ensuring reliable digital solutions, and collaborating globally to deliver secure and efficient technology. It’s a hands-on position in a fast paced environment—perfect for someone who enjoys solving problems and making an impact!

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary IT contact for both sites, managing communication and escalations.

  • Coordinate with global and local teams to deliver consistent technology services.

  • Lead delivery of all site IT functions: end-user support, infrastructure, business applications, and GxP compliance.

  • Solve hardware, software, and network issues; handle procurement and device life cycles.

  • Work with vendors and global IT to resolve major incidents swiftly.

  • Maintain ServiceNow ticket queues, meeting service levels and quality standards.

  • Support infrastructure and local systems, including servers, networking, and security.

  • Collaborate on audits and maintain documentation to meet compliance standards.

  • Contribute to improvement projects and introduce new technologies that enhance business efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT site support, ideally within manufacturing or regulated industries.

  • Technical certifications (Server, Network, or Project Management) preferred.

  • Proficiency in Windows OS, Office 365, and networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, VPN).

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, CSV, GAMP 5, and GxP.

  • Excellent communication in both Japanese and English.

  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize numerous tasks.
