As a Junior Accountant at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will have a meaningful role in our mission to help customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Your work will ensure flawless financial accuracy and back our diverse global operations.

A day in the Life:

• Invoice Processing: Timely processing of incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Supplier Communication: Connect with suppliers and internal departments to address and resolve any discrepancies or issues with invoices.
• Closing activities: Perform assigned tasks to close the financial period, ensuring all financial data is accurate and complete.
• Monthly reconciliations: Reconcile accounts to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are identified and resolved.
• Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) clearing: Work with internal departments and suppliers to clear GRNI accounts, ensuring that all goods received are properly invoiced.
• Audit collaboration: Assist in gathering and providing documentation and information required for both external and internal audits.
• Accounting Activities: Collaborate on various accounting activities

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economy or a related field.

Experience

• 1-2 years previous experience in accounting or a related field

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English, German language is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
