Position Location:Swindon

Join our Swindon team as a dedicated and ambitious MS&T Process Specialist. Thermo Fisher Scientific provides a crucial role in improving our Production team's functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production team in setting up equipment and processes.
• Generate and approve process documentation.
• Transfer and leverage existing process knowledge into the SWC systems.
• Implement and deliver effective, safe, and compliant manufacturing operations.
• Maintain processes in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in equipment and process validation during commercial manufacturing.
• Champion and establish robust, lean, compliant processes.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers, acting as a key contact for client personnel.
• Implement staff training and development programs.
• Troubleshoot and improve manufacturing, filling, inspection, and packaging processes.
• Monitor and communicate progress to essential collaborators.
• Acquire and maintain a Bronze license Badge for Production areas.

• Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety rules and signage.
• Promptly report and investigate all accidents, near misses, and rule breaches.

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree or equivalent experience in Science or Engineering, ideally in Pharmaceutical or Chemical Engineering desired but not essential.
• Essential understanding of end-to-end aseptic processes (liquids, powders, lyophilization).
• Desirable experience with new facility/process start-ups.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and sound decision-making skills.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and technical writing.
• Willingness to travel and work outside the UK for equipment validation.
