Location/Division Specific Information:

The Packaging Team provide a critical role in manufacturing. It involves the process of preparing products for customer use by ensuring they are properly packaged, labelled, and protected. The primary goal of the Packaging Team is to ensure that products are delivered to customers in a safe, secure, and visually appealing manner containing all the vital product information.

How Will You Make an Impact:

A Day in the Life:

  • Packaging Assembly: Oversee the assembly of packaging components, including boxes, inserts, labels, and other necessary materials. Ensure that products are packaged securely and according to standard operating procedures to prevent damage during transit.
  • Labelling: Ensure accurate labelling of products for identification and inventory management purposes. This includes applying correct product labels and any required regulatory or safety information.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to verify that packaging meets established standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections to identify any defects, errors, or inconsistencies, and take corrective actions as necessary.

Education: High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
  • Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
  • Preferred: Experience working within a cleanroom environment.
  • Preferred: Experience working with hazardous materials

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, meet targets and complete vital paperwork.
  • Able to manage workload independently within scope of activities agreed with Supervisor.
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to learn. Possibility of shift work/overtime requirements.
  • Ability to work well alone and as a team.
  • The employment will involve some manual handling.
  • Ability to prioritise and to work under pressure with strict attention to deadlines and details.
  • Excellent time management & interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest/experience in scientific and/or engineering processes.
  • Awareness of COSHH.
  • Willingness and passion to be involved in site-wide projects.
