Description:

The Sales Development Manager promotes business growth for the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) or equivalent experience and Clinical NGS Division (CSD) by leading proactive sales efforts and enhancing distributor partnerships in Indonesia. This position supports Thermo Fisher’s qPCR, dPCR, Genetic Analyzer, Microarray, and NGS platforms through pre-sales activities and customer presentations. The role also improves routes to market and speeds up product adoption. This remote job centers on strategic growth, growing indirect sales channels, achieving annual booking targets, and finding new opportunities aligned with our core values.

Channel Management & Growth

  • Cultivate and direct distributor relationships while refining routes to market.
  • Select, onboard, and develop high-performing channel partners.
  • Implement marketing plans, drive NPIs, and grow category and market share.
  • Assess and improve channel performance through regular reviews, important metrics, and action plans.
  • Provide sales forecasts and market insights based on channel activities.
  • Review SKU distribution, NPIs, market share, trade spend, and volume across channels.
  • Coordinate collaborator action plans during stock constraints or tactical needs in SOP meetings.

Key Account & Market Development

  • Develop and maintain key accounts and KOL relationships.
  • Build proposals, deliver presentations, and negotiate/close contracts.
  • Build and complete market awareness and branding strategies to drive adoption and growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support partners in meeting targets and delivering Thermo Fisher’s value.
  • Support channel partners during customer visits, demos, seminars, and workshops.
  • Stay current on scientific and industry advancements to guide customer discussions and positioning.

Customer & Cross-Functional Support

  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to ensure timely resolution of field issues.
  • Coordinate cross-functional support for critical customer situations.
  • Keep partners and customers informed with relevant product and operational updates.
  • Report field insights, competitive trends, and partner performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. MS or PhD in life science, or equivalent professional experience, is strongly preferred
  • 5 years of commercial experience in Indonesia Genetic Sciences/Life Science market and distributor relations.
  • Experience providing scientific presentations to a wide range of audiences. Experience in a clinical, diagnostics market is additive.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, running the sales process through close, and handling all aspects of contract negotiations.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving distributor performance.
  • Exposure to working in a matrix reporting work environment.
  • Dedication to customer and partner happiness, with solid communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken; familiar with SFDC systems.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Embrace and bring to bear diversity of culture.
