Job Description

We are seeking a Scientist III with expertise in chemical analysis and molecular biology. The ideal candidate will apply knowledge of qPCR reagent chemistry and advanced analytical methods (HPLC, HPIC, LC/MS) to drive innovation and ensure high-quality reagent performance. This role integrates molecular biology assay development with analytical method design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analytical Method Development: Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods using LC/MS, HPLC, and HPIC for the characterization of nucleic acids, enzymes, buffers, and excipients.

  • Assay and Reagent Development: Compose and complete qPCR experiments to support reagent formulation, optimization, and performance validation.

  • Data Analysis and Experimental Development: Apply JMP or equivalent statistical software to build and analyze DOE (Design of Experiments), perform guard-banding, stability, and gauge R&R studies.

  • Product Characterization and Stability: Perform impurity profiling, ion analysis, and stability studies using chromatographic and spectroscopic methods to ensure long-term product reliability.

  • Cross-functional Teamwork: Partner with R&D, Product Management, Operations, and Quality teams to integrate analytical data with molecular performance insights throughout product development and manufacturing transfer.

  • Troubleshooting and Technical Knowledge: Identify root causes of analytical or molecular workflow issues, and provide technical mentorship to project teams.

  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare technical reports, method SOPs, and validation summaries consistent with ISO, GMP, and internal quality standards.

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Contribute to technology evaluations, process improvement initiatives, and intellectual property development related to assay and analytical chemistry.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • M.S or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Bioengineering.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant proven experience in molecular reagent or development of analytical techniques.

  • Proven hands-on experience with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, high-performance liquid chromatography, and fast-paced ion chromatography systems, including method development, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience performing stability, guard-banding, and robustness studies using statistical and analytical tools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of nucleic acid and protein chemistry, enzyme kinetics, and qPCR reagent formulation.

  • Familiarity with regulated laboratory environments (ISO, GMP) and method validation guidelines (ICH, FDA, EMA).

  • Deep understanding of analytical and chromatographic techniques, including ion-exchange, reverse-phase, and ion chromatography principles.

  • Proficiency in qPCR assay chemistry, data analysis, and statistical build (DOE, regression, multivariate analysis).

  • Strong analytical problem-solving and data interpretation skills, with the ability to integrate results across platforms.

  • Effective communicator capable of presenting complex analytical results clearly to cross-functional collaborators.

  • Good knowledge of English (written and oral) (level B2 - C1).

  • Diligent, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in parallel.

We Offer:

  • An innovative environment within a rapidly growing international company.

  • A hard-working, supportive team and leadership committed to your professional development.

  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic organization and work alongside experienced professionals.

  • A competitive salary range of €2891–€4335 gross, depending on experience and competencies.
