Job Description

As a Manufacturing Scientist, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of silica based chromatographic consumables and their components. You will play a vital role within our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Research Center, owning designated research and development project components.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to silica synthesis, modification, evaluation, and column packing steps.
  • Define well-characterized, robust, and reproducible processes within operational ranges.
  • Analyze and interpret technological and scientific content.
  • Plan and conduct experiments to determine critical quality attributes and operational ranges.
  • Interpret and present data to project team members.
  • Document, track, and communicate experimental plans, test results, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with project managers, operations, and development teams.
  • Participate in product/process design specification reviews and contribute to product documentation.
  • Identify deviations from standards and propose modifications for conformity.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Requirements:

Education:

  • MS/PhD degree in science (polymer, synthetic organic or inorganic chemistry), engineering, or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in synthetic organic, inorganic, or polymer chemistry within a research or industry setting.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of synthesis methods, reaction mechanisms, kinetics, and thermodynamics.
  • Proficiency in using molecular and physical chemistry-based tools for reaction product characterization.
  • Theoretical knowledge of HPLC and/or IC fundamentals is advantageous.
  • Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior scientists.
  • Highly self-motivated with excellent project management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, matrix-managed environment.
  • Ability to present findings in public forums.
  • Strong English language skills.

The monthly salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €2 625,00–€3 937,50.
