Senior Demand Planner

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Global demand forecasts: Apply advanced forecasting tools and techniques to determine global customer demand and ensure flawless execution of supply chain planning.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional global  teams: sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align demand plans and support business objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with demand planning policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Help manage material shortages affecting customers.
  • Owning the Allocation process, monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid customers shortages.
  • Own the Product  Availability process.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to maintain product quality standards.
  • Ensure accuracy of MRP and IT systems.
  • Support the IVDD and IVDR Transition process. Utilising IFS, maintain statistical forecasting and review with Commercial Global teams.
  • Ownership of Global Instrument and spares forecasting
    Challenge forecasting anomalies
  • Prepare and present SIOP reports on forecast accuracy changes and trends.
  • Find market trends and data: Provide insightful analysis on market conditions, competitor activities, and find opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Lead initiatives to improve demand planning processes and systems, striving for outstanding accuracy and efficiency.
  • Track and report performance metrics in Dploy: Monitor key performance indicators related to demand planning and provide data-driven recommendations for optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning or a similar role: Demonstrated ability to successfully implement demand strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills: Proven expertise in data analysis, forecasting, and market trend evaluation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and collaborators.
  • Proficiency in demand planning software: Experience with IFS Demand Planner, SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, or similar systems.

  • Hybrid role, office based, with occasional requirements to travel to other Thermo Fisher Scientific locations.
