What you'll do

Drive Exciting Technical Development & Own Product Architecture

  • Own systems engineering for industrial FTIR-based gas analyzers, developing next-generation designs for continuous emissions monitoring and process gas applications
  • Perform hands-on design, prototyping, and testing in our high-paced development environment, from individual components to full integrated solutions
  • Work directly with customers to understand their needs and challenges, translating these into requirements and system design concepts.
  • Develop product architecture documentation such as system schematics, plumbing diagrams, and flow diagrams
  • Design and select components for gas handling systems including pneumatic/solenoid valves, mass flow controllers, heaters, and various sensors
  • Drive technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring smooth transitions and production readiness

Technical Leadership

  • Provide strong technical leadership as the Engineering point of contact for MAX products across a globally distributed team
  • Lead stage-gate activities for development projects to support timely product launches
  • Perform risk analyses and DFMEA to ensure product reliability and safety
  • Build and maintain regulatory technical files and serve as the ECO process leader
  • Provide sustaining engineering support for manufacturing, service, quality, and regulatory groups as a product line expert

What you'll bring

  • BS in Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Chemical, or related engineering field; MS preferred
  • 5+ years in systems engineering for complex electromechanical or analytical instrumentation is required
  • Experience with FTIR technology is a strong plus
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, industrial control systems (analog and digital I/O), and communication methodologies such as Modbus TCP/IP is a plus.

  • Experience in creating system schematics, flow diagrams, and associated technical documentation is required
  • Experience with risk analysis methodologies and DFMEA is helpful
  • A desire for hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a R&D laboratory environment is needed
  • Ability to work independently through ambiguity

Success in this role will be measured by:
