This full-time internship (40-hour work week) occurs during your final 180 days of service under permissive temporary duty orders. You'll gain invaluable hands-on experience hunting advanced threats using CrowdStrike's cutting-edge Falcon platform, without direct compensation from CrowdStrike (you retain all military wages and benefits). This program complies fully with DoD Instruction 1322.29, FLSA, and all relevant labor laws, providing a seamless transition into civilian cybersecurity careers.

Perfect for Transitioning Service Members

Whether from Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard, all ranks and experience levels are welcome. Dive into proactive threat hunting in enterprise environments, analyzing historical and active threats to deliver actionable remediation recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll proactively hunt for adversaries using advanced techniques on the Falcon platform:

  • Produce high-quality written reports, presentations, and verbal briefings for technical teams, management, and legal counsel.
  • Develop and mature threat hunting capabilities through research, methodology refinement, and scripting.
  • Perform hypothesis-driven analysis, IOC searching, correlation, pivoting, and threat timelines.
  • Leverage threat intelligence on eCrime and nation-state actors for targeted hunts.

Qualifications & Requirements

We're seeking highly motivated service members with experience in:

  • Threat Hunting: Windows/Linux forensics (program execution, persistence, file systems, event logs, process analysis, anomaly detection).
  • Analysis: Hypothesis-driven methods, IOC pivoting, long-tail investigations.
  • Threat Intelligence: Tradecraft of targeted attacks by eCrime and nation-states.
  • Scripting: Python or similar for queries and automation.
  • Platform Architecture: Deep knowledge of Windows/Linux OS internals, networking (OSI model), and identity (Active Directory, Kerberos).
  • Communication: Articulate findings to diverse audiences.

Beneficial Experience: Incident response, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and remediation planning. DoD SkillBridge eligibility is mandatory.

Benefits & Perks

This SkillBridge opportunity offers exceptional value for your transition:

  • Full military pay and benefits preserved during 40-hour training weeks.
  • Remote-first flexibility from anywhere in the U.S.
