Role Description

The Director of Dedicated Planning & Investment Operations oversees the planning department, managing team members, procedures, and processes. Key duties include team leadership, financial plan preparation, investment analysis, and client service coordination. Reporting to Approach Path Financial Advisors leadership, this role drives operational excellence in a high-growth financial practice.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Oversee workflow and job responsibilities of planning department team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead training and development for the department, collaborating with leadership to build robust infrastructure.
  • Enter client information into various systems, maintaining data integrity across platforms.
  • Prepare and update comprehensive financial plans and presentation materials for client meetings.
  • Input data into financial planning software and generate draft financial plans for review.
  • Deepen client relationships by processing requests, resolving inquiries, and ensuring up-to-date documentation.
  • Research and respond promptly to client inquiries with tailored solutions.
  • Finalize, submit, and track all client account and application paperwork.
  • Gather and maintain detailed customer suitability information for compliance and personalization.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of investment options and portfolio allocations.
  • Assist in generating accurate performance reports for clients and internal use.
  • Maintain and update information in the CRM (Salesforce) system.
  • Complete necessary forms for opening and maintaining client accounts.
  • Handle fund transfer requests in and out of accounts securely and efficiently.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend optimizations to enhance workflows.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support practice goals.

Required Skills

Success requires expertise in financial planning, leadership, and operations. Key skills include:

  • Advanced proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., MoneyGuidePro, eMoney).
  • Strong investment research and portfolio analysis capabilities.
