Role Description

The Engagement Leader (EL) is a dynamic relationship development professional delivering local leadership, strategic planning, and flawless execution of community and business development initiatives. In this pivotal role at Thrivent in Minneapolis, Minnesota, you'll partner with Thrivent Financial Advisors, field leaders, and Thrivent Member Networks to activate community engagement activities that build financial health and inspire generosity.

Leveraging Thrivent’s renowned community impact programs, you'll drive local relationship development, fuel business growth, and create tangible positive impacts. Provide expert consultation and resources to new and seasoned Financial Advisors, helping them expand networks, deepen client relationships, and differentiate their practices. Develop customized engagement plans that harness Thrivent’s membership and community programs, including event execution, strategic partnerships, and regional connections to elevate business results and community outcomes.

Build enduring relationships with community leaders, churches, non-profits, and business networks to enhance Thrivent’s presence in the Minneapolis market. Master our systems, processes, and playbooks to ensure consistent, reliable experiences for advisors and partners. Detailed Responsibilities

This role focuses on strategic execution across three core pillars:

Drive Impact

  • Increase awareness of Thrivent’s Community Impact and Membership programs among clients and communities.
  • Partner with advisors to elevate Thrivent's visibility by leveraging Membership and Community Impact initiatives.
  • Develop and activate strategic partnerships with regional organizations, including churches, non-profits, schools, and businesses.

Business Development

  • Collaborate with Financial Advisors to create tailored engagement plans that grow networks and deepen relationships.
  • Plan and execute community events, workshops, and activations to drive lead generation and client retention.
  • Coordinate growth efforts with local field leaders for cohesive market penetration.

Relationship Mastery

  • Cultivate ties with community influencers to strengthen Thrivent’s impact and business results.
  • Provide training and support on Thrivent tools, resources, and playbooks for seamless execution.
  • Measure and report on engagement outcomes to optimize strategies and demonstrate ROI.
