Role Description

The Engagement Leader (EL) at Thrivent is a dynamic relationship development professional dedicated to providing local leadership, planning, and execution of community and business development initiatives in Memphis, TN. This role focuses on community engagement and activation activities in partnership with Thrivent Financial Advisors, field leaders, and Thrivent Member Networks. You'll leverage Thrivent’s renowned community impact programs—centered on building financial health and inspiring generosity—to forge strategic relationships, drive business growth, and positively transform the local community.

As an Engagement Leader, you'll provide expert consultation and support to new and experienced Thrivent Financial Advisors. Partnering closely with them, you'll help grow their networks, deepen client and community relationships, and develop tailored engagement plans. These plans utilize Thrivent’s membership and community impact programs to differentiate advisors' businesses, culminating in powerful community events, partnerships, and regional connections that amplify impact and results.

Key to success is building authentic relationships with community leaders, churches, non-profits, and business networks. You'll strengthen Thrivent’s presence in the Memphis market, ensuring proficient execution of systems, processes, and playbooks for consistent, reliable experiences for advisors and partners.

Detailed Responsibilities

This role centers on the strategic execution of three main areas:

Drive Impact

  • Increase awareness of Thrivent’s Community Impact and Membership programs among clients and communities. Partner with advisors to elevate Thrivent's visibility through targeted leveraging of these programs.
  • Develop and activate strategic partnerships with regional organizations, including churches, non-profits, businesses, and community groups to amplify impact.
  • Coordinate community growth efforts with local field leaders to ensure cohesive, high-impact initiatives.

Business Development

  • Collaborate with Financial Advisors to create and execute personalized engagement plans that drive business growth and community differentiation.
  • Support advisors in hosting community events, workshops, and partnerships that deepen client relationships and attract new business.
  • Connect advisors to regional engagement events, fostering network expansion and sustained growth.

Relationship Building

  • Cultivate strong ties with local leaders, churches, non-profits, and networks to enhance Thrivent’s market presence and outcomes.
  • Provide training and resources on Thrivent’s tools, ensuring seamless execution of engagement activities.
  • Track and report on engagement metrics to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI on community investments.

Required Skills

Education & Experience
