Role Description

As a Thrivent Financial Advisor in Ann Arbor, MI and surrounding areas, you will build a financial practice guiding Christians on their journeys to financial clarity, empowering lives of service and faith. Provide personal, actionable and achievable advice while connecting clients to Thrivent products and programs like investments, insurance, banking, and generosity initiatives.

Develop and maintain genuine, long-term relationships based on trust and understanding. Detailed Responsibilities

Core Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive financial planning sessions, assessing clients' goals, risk tolerance, and life stages to deliver tailored advice.
  • Recommend and implement investment strategies, insurance solutions, and banking products that align with clients' faith-based values.
  • Host educational financial workshops and seminars in Ann Arbor and nearby communities to attract prospects and establish thought leadership.
  • Prospect and network within local churches, community events, and professional groups to generate leads.
  • Manage client portfolios, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to ensure ongoing financial health and growth.
  • Collaborate with Thrivent specialists for advanced support in areas like estate planning, retirement strategies, and charitable giving.
  • Utilize Thrivent's marketing tools and technology platforms to enhance client engagement and practice growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FINRA and state insurance regulations.

Business Development

Focus on sustainable practice growth through relationship-building, referral programs, and community involvement. Track performance metrics and set achievable goals to maximize commissions and incentives.

Must be willing to obtain required licenses: Life, Health & Variable Contracts, Series 7 and 66.

Previous experience in client-facing roles, community involvement, or coaching preferred. Passion for serving the Ann Arbor community and alignment with Christian values is essential.
