Role Description

As a Thrivent Financial Advisor in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, you will build a financial practice guiding clients toward financial clarity, empowering lives of service and faith. Provide personal, actionable, and achievable advice, connecting clients to Thrivent’s comprehensive suite of products including investments, insurance, banking, and generosity programs. Develop and maintain genuine, long-term relationships across generations, serving clients in your chosen Chicago community with trust and deep understanding.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Build a sustainable financial practice by leveraging your personal network and Thrivent’s strong reputation in the Chicago area.
• Deliver award-winning financial workshops and marketing initiatives to generate client appointments and expand your reach.
• Offer holistic financial planning, including retirement strategies, wealth accumulation, protection planning, and legacy giving tailored to clients' faith-based values.
• Make client appointments through proactive networking, community involvement, and Thrivent-provided leads.
• Collaborate with Thrivent specialists for advanced support in investments, insurance underwriting, and business development.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FINRA Series 7 and 66, and state insurance licenses.
• Utilize cutting-edge technology platforms for client management, portfolio analysis, and virtual advising to serve Chicago's diverse clientele.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay ahead of market trends and enhance advisory expertise.
• Foster a culture of generosity by promoting Thrivent’s member benefits and community impact programs.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Prior experience in sales, business management, education, ministry, hospitality, military, or related fields is highly valued.
• Ability to obtain required licenses: Life, Health & Variable Contracts insurance licenses, Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations (Thrivent provides paid training).
• Reside in or strong ties to the Chicago Metropolitan Area preferred.
