Role Description

As a Thrivent Financial Advisor in Myrtle Beach / Mt. Pleasant, SC, you will build a financial practice guiding Christians on their journeys to financial clarity, empowering lives of service and faith. Provide personal, actionable and achievable advice and connect clients to Thrivent products and programs. Develop and maintain genuine, long-term relationships throughout generations based on trust and understanding, with the ability to serve clients in your chosen community.

Make client appointments by leveraging your network and Thrivent’s reputation, delivering award-winning financial workshops and marketing your practice. Find a collaborative culture with colleagues who want you to be successful.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Build and grow a financial practice focused on holistic financial planning, including investments, insurance, banking, and generosity planning.
• Conduct client consultations to assess financial goals, risks, and needs, delivering personalized advice tailored to faith-based values.
• Leverage Thrivent's marketing tools, workshops, and digital platforms to generate leads and schedule appointments.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FINRA Series 7 and 66, and state insurance licenses.
• Collaborate with Thrivent specialists in business development, technology, and engagement to optimize client outcomes.
• Host educational financial workshops in local communities, churches, and events in Myrtle Beach and Mt. Pleasant.
• Develop multi-generational client relationships through exceptional service and ongoing support.
• Utilize CRM tools and analytics to track client progress and business performance.
• Participate in continuous professional development to stay ahead in financial advising trends.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Obtain state insurance licenses (life, health & variable contracts), Series 7 and 66 registrations (Thrivent provides paid training).
• Previous experience in sales, financial services, coaching, or community leadership is a plus but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional networks in Myrtle Beach / Mt. Pleasant areas.

Compensation Overview
