Role Description

As a Thrivent Financial Advisor in St. Cloud/Alexandria & Surrounding Areas, you will guide clients toward financial security while aligning with their values of faith and generosity. This role offers the autonomy of entrepreneurship backed by the resources of a national leader. Whether you're prospecting through your personal network, hosting community workshops, or providing personalized advice, you'll connect clients to Thrivent’s comprehensive suite of products including investments, insurance, banking, and generosity programs.

Ideal for self-starters passionate about holistic financial planning, this position allows you to serve local communities where clients live, work, and worship. From first-time homebuyers in St. Cloud to retirees in Alexandria, your expertise will make a tangible difference.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Build a financial practice guiding Christians on their journeys to financial clarity, empowering lives of service and faith.
• Provide personal, actionable, and achievable advice, connecting clients to Thrivent products and programs like mutual funds, annuities, life insurance, and charitable giving strategies.
• Develop and maintain genuine, long-term relationships throughout generations based on trust and understanding, serving clients in St. Cloud, Alexandria, and surrounding Minnesota communities.
• Make client appointments by leveraging your network, Thrivent’s reputation, delivering award-winning financial workshops, and marketing your practice effectively.
• Conduct comprehensive financial reviews, retirement planning sessions, and estate planning consultations tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with Thrivent specialists in investments, insurance, and technology to deliver seamless client experiences.
• Host community events and seminars to educate on topics like debt management, college savings, and faith-based investing.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliant, forward-thinking advice.
• Track practice growth metrics and utilize Thrivent’s CRM tools for efficient client management.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Prior experience in sales, business management, education, ministry, hospitality, military, or related fields is highly valued; no finance degree required.
• Obtain state insurance licenses (life, health & variable contracts), Series 7 and 66 registrations during paid onboarding (Thrivent supports this process).
• Demonstrated success in relationship-building roles.
